A poll is useful for discovering what people think. It’s human nature to be curious about how others feel, and that’s essentially how you’ll entice people to interact.
Ask questions that you’ll want answers to. Collect valuable user data, gauge reaction to a new product or feature, or simply offer a fun way to connect with your audience.
Make your question as divisive as possible. The most effective results come from polarizing content, and users with strong views will be more likely to interact.
Use the photo icon to add or upload an image, but select something unrelated to the answers here so that users won’t be biased towards a particular result.
You can choose a classic text-based layout for your answers, or a grid format where images can be added to illustrate each choice. Remember that users will be curious to find out how others have answered the question, so think about making these contentious. They’ll be more likely to interact further.
End Cards add a way to continue the conversation, although you don’t have to include these in your poll. By linking an End Card to an answer, you are creating a much more personalized experience; you can validate the user’s choice and offer further information if needed.
You might find that one End Card linked to all of the answers will suffice, although in adding more you have the opportunity to offer different CTAs for different answers.
Include an action element to ensure engagement. The CTA should be a website link or a form to gather information, and could offer useful options such as newsletter sign-ups, community engagement links, or dedicated website pages.
There is also the option to showcase a range of items in a Products Gallery, where each can be linked to separate URLs. Be sure to make it eye-catching to encourage your audience to interact.
