What is ads.txt?
Ads.txt (Authorized Digital Sellers) is a simple, secure way for publishers to publicly list the companies authorized to sell their digital ad inventory. This helps ensure that only legitimate sellers can offer your ad space.
Publishers create ads.txt files, listing authorized sellers of their inventory. Buyers cross-reference ads.txt to:
- Verify seller's' legitimacy.
- Protect buyers and sellers from unauthorized inventory sellers.
- Detect potential fraud or discrepancies.
- Track ad spend flow.
