Steps to modify metadata fields for a video asset in your library:

Step 1: Access EX.CO Media Library and select your video. Step 2: Click the edit icon to open the video's metadata page.

Video Metadata available for editing/adding:

  • Video title
  • Video description
  • Clickthrough URL
  • Tags for the video
  • Media categories for the video

Metadata is automatically collected for both YouTube and MRSS feeds when used to upload videos to EX.CO, as well as when content is uploaded via our content API.

  • Improved organization of the media library, with the ability to utilize categories for dynamic playlists and tag-based playlists.
  • Separation of values for use cases like GAM tag category and keywords for precise targeting of direct campaigns.
  • Enables the metadata to be passed to the EX.CO player as structured data to enable discovery by Google search bots to read the video metadata
