EX.CO now offers a powerful capability that enables you to create multiple RSS/MRSS feeds simultaneously, streamlining the process for efficient playlist creation at scale. This guide will walk you through how to use this feature to create feeds with or without targeting rules.
Why use this feature? This feature is designed to save you time and effort when building feed-based playlists. By creating one or more feeds in a single action, you can easily manage and organize your content for different purposes.
How to create multiple RSS/MRSS feeds:
Step 1: Prepare Your Excel Sheet
- Gather the necessary information for your feeds in an Excel sheet.
- Ensure that your Excel sheet has two distinct formats, as described below.
- You can download the Excel template on the platform's pop-up window for feed creation
Format #1 - Create feeds Only:
- This format allows you to create RSS/MRSS playlists from all the feeds listed in your Excel sheet without applying targeting rules.
- Each row in the Excel sheet should contain the feed details, such as URL, title, and description.
Format #2 - Create feeds and apply targeting:
- With this format, you can create RSS/MRSS playlists from the feeds listed in your Excel sheet and apply targeting rules to each feed.
- Each row in the Excel sheet should include feed details as well as the targeting information, such as domain association.
- Specify the URL, title, description, and domain where each feed should be loaded as its playlist.
Step 2: Access the feature
- Log in to your EX.CO account and navigate to the RSS/MRSS feed creation feature.
- Download the Excel template
- Feed creation template with sample feeds.xlsx
Step 3: Upload Your excel sheet
- Upload the Excel sheet containing your feed information.
- Ensure that the data is correctly formatted according to the chosen format.
Step 4: Create Feeds
- After uploading the Excel sheet, proceed to create the feeds.
- If using Format #2, apply targeting rules as needed.
- Verify that all details are accurate before finalizing.
