Overview

The EX.CO platform allows users to easily update the thumbnail of a video.

Thumbnails can be updated by:

  1. Uploading a new image as the video thumbnail
  2. Selecting a frame captured by EX.CO from the video itself.

Where Can I find this?

When hovering over a video item in the media library, you'll see an actions menu appear. In this menu, click on ‘Edit’ to open the video metadata edit pop-up window.

Accessing the Thumbnail manual update feature

  • Upload the video thumbnail on the Edit Video Screen:
    • Location: A button with an upload/edit icon is available.
    • Function: Clicking this button opens the browser upload screen to select a new thumbnail image.

Grab your unique frame using our "Use Current Frame" Feature

  1. Playable Video in Edit UI:

    • The video is playable within the edit video UI for you to capture the frame you’d like to use as the video thumbnail.
  2. Select the Current Frame:

    • Action: Play the video and pause at the desired frame.
    • Button: Click the "Use Current Frame" button.
    • Result: The frame the video is paused on becomes the new video thumbnail.
