The EX.CO platform enables you to set up, manage, and monitor live stream performance seamlessly.
This capability is exclusively available through the platform and inaccessible via our API, and is a paid service.
Supported Live Stream Event Types:
- 24/7 Live Streams: Continuous streaming around the clock.
- Breaking Live Events: Real-time coverage of unexpected events.
- Scheduled Events: Streams planned for specific dates and times.
Stream Playback Options:
Live streams can be assigned to specific players and/or playlists with two playback settings:
- Play Only Stream: When the stream is live, it takes over the player/playlist, allowing only the live stream to play.
- Play Stream, Followed by Playlist: The live stream plays first, but the user can click "Next" to continue to the player’s playlist.

Live streaming is a paid service.
Your approval of the respective fee will be required to make it available for your account (typically pricing is attached as an annex to your EX.CO agreement).

Ready-to-Go HLS:
- What it is: Stream a live HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) link on our player, complete with pre-roll and mid-roll ad support.
- Use Cases: Ideal for linear TV adapted for the web, or FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) channels.
Raw Stream Conversion to HLS:
- Input: Supports various raw stream types.
- Conversion: The media server converts raw stream inputs into HLS format.
- Supported Raw Stream Formats: RTMP, RTP.
- Output: The converted HLS stream is served by our player in multiple formats.

Ad Scheduling & Configuration
- Currently Supported: Includes pre-roll, mid-roll, and breaking ads.
- Coming soon: Client-side ad insertion
- We don't support ad cues yet. We support pre-roll ads, either as a single ad or in pods. Additionally, we allow mid-stream ad breaks at set time intervals (e.g., every X minutes). These breaks can also consist of either a single ad or ad pods, but they are scheduled based on time triggers rather than specific markers within the stream.
- Using: SCTE-35 Ad Markets
- HLS Manifests: Use #EXT-X-CUE-OUT and #EXT-X-CUE-IN tags for ad breaks.
- RTMP and RTP: Carry SCTE-35 markers for dynamic ad insertion.
