Choosing a traffic source for your CedatoX connection

Now you can set the type of Supply source you would like to buy traffic from, via your CedatoX connection.

You can indicate whether you would like to receive traffic from VAST Supply, HTML Player or both. The default setting for each CedatoX connection is to receive requests from both types. In the event that you'd like to choose only one source type, HTML Player or VAST, go to your CedatoX Supply Edit page. Under the 'Restrictions' tab, go to the field named "Limit Traffic Source to:". Here you can select one of the options in order to define only one traffic source.

This is very effective for maintaining the shortest supply path to the publisher's page. In this case, you will want to set it to buy from HTML Player connections only.

  • Go to Edit Supply page ->  ‘Assigned Demand’ tab. In case you have ineligible Demand assigned, a red exclamation mark will appear below the CPM column headline. All the ineligible Demand CPM will be marked in red. To easily unassign, click the arrow near the top check box and choose “Unassign Ineligible Demand”.
  • Go to Edit Demand page ->  ‘Assigned Supply’ tab. In case you have ineligible Supply assigned, a red exclamation mark will appear below the CPM column headline. All the ineligible Supply CPM will be marked in red. To easily unassign, click the arrow near the top check box and choose “Unassign Ineligible Supply”.

Environment Setting

Earlier this year we added the Environment Setting to both Demand and Supply items. Starting today, all items are required to have the Environment set. You can set an item to be related to up to 2 environments.

Important note: A Supply will send requests only to a Demand that matches its Environment setting. For example, a Demand that is set to Mobile Web only, won't receive requests from a Desktop traffic, even if the traffic source itself (the Supply) is set to both Desktop and Mobile Web.

In the event that you require assistance with our new settings, please feel free to contact your Cedato Customer Success Manager directly.
